Leading a “Fit Life”: Physically, Emotionally and Mentally

“Today I am starting my diet and workout program.” Today becomes tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day after that. We’ve all been there before… the constant cycle of creating good habits, and making healthier choices, however it is so easy to fall off, and struggle to get back on track. I am guilty of this myself at times. Life gets busy, and taking care of ourselves easily falls by the wayside at times. We start working out less, eating worse, and missing out on necessary sleep. In a effort to make the world a healthier place, I am going to share my love of fitness with all of you, and hope we can all become healthier, mentally, physically and emotionally.

Being fit and healthy isn’t solely about working out, and our nutrition, although they are major components. Being healthy to me means loving yourself, doing things that you love, maintaining a positive attitude, having set “you time,”and not only changing the physical, but who we are at our core.

Many of us have others who depend on us in some way, form or fashion, but, if we aren’t taking care of ourselves, we will be pouring from an empty cup, and we all know that doesn’t end well.

I look forward to sharing what I have learned as a fitness enthusiast and instructor, along with life tips to help you all become healthy in all aspects. I hope you guys love Zumba, strength training, and resting! Let’s get fit, HD style!
