My Word For 2018: Discipline

January 1st, 2018
Posted in #LIFEINHD, Uncategorized

What if you simply devoted this year to loving yourself more ? <—– Me, all 2018. // Goal: Slay everything.

I don’t really believe in New Year’s resolutions, but if I have to choose one… It would be loving myself more. By that I mean, truly releasing things that don’t provide alignment or peace & saying “no,” more.

It means, saying “yes,” to everything that has been on my heart to pursue & accomplish & continuing to be intentional with my time. Intentional was the word GOD gave to me for this year & I’ve truly worked on being intentional in all aspects: Getting in the word (feeding my faith), family time, time management, friendships, goals etc.

As I have been preparing for the new year, I have been praying for guidance and direction and the word that God gave to me for this year is discipline.

I can’t wait to see how focusing on being more disciplined will help shape my year.

I have spent so much time saying yes to things that aren’t a priority for me, and many of the wrong people as well. I almost feel as if I have had to defend my heart, the way I love… even to the point of questioning myself based off of the actions of others… but no more. Time is precious. Being intentional & being disciplined will help me to continue to keep my identity in Christ & keep growing.

Notes to self:

Keep GOD first.

Wife & mom are my most important callings.

Praise your way through everything.

Your identity lies in Christ.

They talked about Jesus too- keep doing good.

You might be too much for some people. Those aren’t your people.

Go harder.

Your hustle may offend others. Keep working.

Some people won’t support you because it’s you.

Stay positive. Drink lots of water. Read a lot. Laugh daily and hard.

Stay on course.

You will outgrow some people & things.

Find your tribe & love them hard.

Have fun! Dream big! Love hard.

You are your biggest critic. Be kind to yourself because you are listening.

Set some goals and demolish them.

Change lives. Whoever you come in contact with should leave you feeling happier, better etc.

Serve others.

Be willing.

In a nutshell, be a good person.

I love y’all and I’m praying GOD’s presence in your lives as we prepare for 2018. I pray growth, love and blessings over anyone reading this! HAPPY NEW YEAR (a few hours early).

Xoxo,

Heaven
